There Was No Spoon

Gazing through some old archives, I came across this long forgotten gem from the winter of 2001 in New Zealand (which is summer down under, as it were). You see, I had just bought a new DV camcorder and decided one fine Sunday to stroll the coast from Algie's Bay to Sandspit to get some coffee, filming this grand adventure for posterity and as a witness to future generations living under the titanium alloy fist of The Machines, to show them what freedom looked (and sounded) like.

Because You Need To See This, and b/c I'm generous to a fault, I'm sharing it with you here, today on PitHeads.

**DISCLAIMER**

The sound was over compressed in the original Quicktime video so I tried to clean it up a bit, although it's still kind of sucky. Crank up the volume. Also, it's very long--almost three minutes--so if you're a Very Busy Person you may want to watch it in installments.

["Poppy, no!" was an inside joke among my colleagues. We were doing an animated kid''s show and one of the characters (Poppy) would get into a potentially catastrophic situation at least once per episode, spurring her brother to thus exclaim. Just in case you were wondering.]
