In other news, I see that another Taki alumnus, and all-around gadfly Gavin McGinnis has been put on indefinite leave from the company he co-founded, following one of his infamous articles (although not on Taki's place,this time):
It is interesting that the uproar is not over his habitual use of crude imagery and foul language, as it would have been in an earlier era, but for stating something--the notion that severing Mr. Whipple, in order to outwardly reflect the precious young woman who is screaming inside you, is, well, nuts--that would have been considered a glaringly obvious statement, in earlier eras. Get with the times and Groupthink with us, h8ters, or kiss your livelihood goodbye.

Gavin McInnes, chief creative officer of Rooster in New York, has been asked to take an indefinite leave of absence following the publication of a transphobic essay.Published earlier this week on Thought Catalog, "Transphobia is Perfectly Natural" has at publication received 2,082 comments. It has also sparked a "Boycott Rooster" movement, with Tumblr and Twitter accounts asking followers to let Rooster clients—Vans, Red Bull, Fox Sports and others—know they will not support companies that work with McInnes.
