What The Humungus is not reading
Well. We gave it a try. Awake in the Nightland came highly recommended. We got the first story behind us and were able to retain some meaning. We got the second one behind us and were able to retain nothing. We got 5% through the third and gave up. We are obviously not sophisticated enough for this sort of thing.
So, we're going with "Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse". Not much happens, but it's got some interesting how-to tips that we hadn't thought of (especially in the edged weapon department). And the characters rely a little too much on God to help them out (that may work for them, but it would not for others). It ain't sophisticated fare, but, it works as well after happy hour as it does before, and it's a little educational. And GREAT NEWS, it's the first of a four-ish part series....epic.
