Calling All Yellow People

The Horsey post has lapsed into irrationality, with a certain member quite rightly extolling the unparallelled merits of peeecan pie and in the next comment running down the region that birthed this and most other worthy American accomplishments.

That is no way to get a fellow member's goat. How much better it is to assemble a collection of antiquated terms and stereotypical mocking of speech into verse form. Let's see if this will tempt The Empress from her lair:

The Chinaman runs into his Old Flame

Thirty years if it's a day, Faye
Was it really so long 'go
It seems like only yesterday
Deep in the Congo
Me in search of fortune and fame
You to learn to bongo
So, you've taken another's name
I still by Wong, go
What we had was once so right
Where did we wrong, go
Silly how we used to fight
At hammer and tong, go
Ah, you hum our favorite tune
Touching how that song go
You tempt me with your husky croon
Now where did your sarong go?!
Do your vows mean so little
If you cannot be strong, go
My integrity is not so brittle
To whomever you belong, go
That ain't how this egg rolls
Take leave of Hong Kong, go
And don't ask for whom the bell tolls
For your honor, Dear, it ding dong, go
