Hawaii?

Hi y'all. My husband has an opportunity to work at Hicham Air base in Hawaii. 3 years contract, housing allowance included. They promise a job back at Barksdale airbase end of 3 years , if he isn't offered a renewal there. But we heard rumors they are slow in keeping that promise. It'll be 12 hours from my mom instead of 24 hours flight. I would be further away from Dash. So, what do you think? To hawaii or not to hawaii?

I don't even know how it's like in hawaii. Especially for my young 9 and 5 year olds.
