Work In Progress

Gaze, if you will in awe and wonderment at the anti-Apple watch, the very first product of the Pshaw & Balderdash line. You recall that I mentioned sketching a watch inspired by the confident and manly lines of the Supermarine Spitfire, champion of the Battle of Britain? Of course you do; you hang on my every word. Well here it is in its first incarnation.

I see it in a bead-blasted stainless steel case with a polished bezel, beveled to flow perfectly into the slightly domed sapphire crystal. The lugs are informed by the iconic elliptical Spitfire wing (although I think they need to be shortened just a tad) and the onion style crown has an intricate spiral engraving reminiscent of the spinning prop.

The automatic Swiss ETA 2829 automatic movement (visible in the display back case) will allow the line to be extended to include a chronograph model. This initial version has a 24 hour subdial and I'm preparing another iteration with a date window at 3 o'clock.

Here, we have a sporty matte red elastomer band but the discerning gentleman will want the hand-stitched alligator leather bracelet, naturally.

Now all I need to put one of these bad boys on your wrist is, say, about $300K in upfront investment funding to produce the first limited edition series. PayPal accepted.
