Flag Day

  

Tomorrow morning, at first light, please remember to briskly hoist Old Glory and lower it ceremoniously at day's end. And by Old Glory, I mean the flag, of course, although the same advice works well for other glories, both old and new. If your glory lasts for more than 24 hours, see a doctor.

At one point in time, I did adhere to the "America, right or wrong" philosophy but in today's world where America is so very wrong in so many ways, I've adopted a new national philosophy which I summarize thus: Make America Right Again.

On an entirely unrelated note, this video showed up, unbeckoned, at the top of my YouTube recommendations the other day. How queer. Now, I wonder just how many of these grievous errors our severely ancient jake has already committed? I'm guessing all of them, and a few as yet unknown to modern surfers.
